Early Childhood / Elementary Teacher 

Position Overview

Sayre Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, student-centered educator to serve as a Teacher in our Early Childhood / Elementary program. The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports academic growth, social development, and a love of learning.

Primary Responsibilities

Instructional Duties

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with district and state standards.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support diverse learners.

• Utilize effective instructional strategies and classroom management practices.

• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Student Support Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Promote positive behavior, character development, and citizenship.

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.

• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certificate (Early Childhood or Elementary Education).

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Commitment to academic excellence and student growth.

Elementary Music Teacher (PK–4) 

Sayre Elementary is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Music Teacher to inspire and engage students in grades Pre-K through 4th. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music, build foundational skills, and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for PK–4 students
• Teach fundamental music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, and movement
• Incorporate singing, instruments, and creative expression into daily lessons
• Prepare and coordinate student performances and programs throughout the year
• Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, creativity, and active participation
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and staff
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support school-wide initiatives
• Maintain classroom management and routines that maximize instructional time

Qualifications:

• Valid Oklahoma state teaching certification
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs. 

Bus Drivers

Position Overview

Sayre Public Schools is accepting applications for dependable, safety-minded individuals to serve as Bus Drivers. We are seeking team members who are committed to transporting students safely and responsibly each day while representing our district with professionalism and care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.

• Follow all traffic laws and district transportation policies.

• Maintain order and safety on the bus.

• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements required (or willingness to obtain).

• Clean driving record.

• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.

• Ability to work positively with students of all ages.
