Welcome to 3rd grade!

My name is Courtney Lewis. This is my 5th year at Sayre and my 7th year teaching in Oklahoma. My husband Mathew and I moved to Elk City in 2013. We have one daughter named Kaia. She is in 5th grade this year. I have two sons. Karson is in 5th grade and Kory is in 4th grade.
I currently have my Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Second Language Learners. I attended Linfield college for my Undergraduate and the University of Phoenix for my Graduate program.

Third grade can be a difficult year because of testing. I will always do my best to have your child prepared for the test in April, but there are several things you can also do at home to help. 

**Read with your child. Helping your child with his/her fluency will make them a quicker and better reader. 
**Work on multiplication and division facts. This is an important and reoccurring life skill. 
**Finally, confidence. We truly believe that if a child believes and has confidence in themselves, they will be the best student!
