Welcome home, SHS Alumni!

It feels good to write these words again! A year ago, our traditional alumni plans fell apart just as we prepared for another great weekend of activities. Fast forward one year, and it’s time to reconnect with “old” SHS friends once again.

While in town, please take a moment to drive by the school campus. It is an exciting and transformational time at Sayre Schools. Construction projects are underway that, upon completion, will genuinely enhance how we serve students. The “cornerstone” project is the renovation of the cafeteria and kitchen. When complete, students will enjoy meals prepared in a brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen while seated in a beautiful modern facility. Additionally, the remodeled space will serve as a hub for banquets and events for years to come. On the west end of campus, you’ll see the new multi-purpose P.E. facility under construction. The new facility is a companion project to the cafeteria remodel. In the end, we will have more than doubled the space available for P.E. activities and food service. On the east side of campus is the new STEM building that will serve as a center for hands-on learning for middle school and high school students. The facility brings Sayre Schools to the forefront of our region, providing up-to-date educational technology and the opportunity for exciting learning experiences across the curriculum. All projects result from the Sayre community’s unwavering support of our children now and well into the future.

I hope you enjoy safe travel and another fun-filled alumni weekend back home in Sayre!
